Abstract:
This is a collection of papers related to feature engineering (variously called feature construction, bias shift, feature engineering and several other names). Most of the papers in this bibliography are from machine learning and data mining, and the work is primarily symbolic and inductive in nature. Work in connectionism/neural networks is poorly represented, as is work in statistics and pattern recognition.
Keywords:
constructive induction, feature engineering, feature construction, bias shift, change of representation
